Billy Jackfish

From early garage bands to a year long punk rock tour of North America; from campfire songs to children's music, the musical journey of Billy Jackfish has been a lifelong passion. His earliest musical memories are of his father sitting at the kitchen table playing the guitar, while his mom sang along. At the age of ten, Billy Jackfish was performing at retirement homes around town with his dad and brother.  For Billy Jackfish, music and performing are among life's greatest joys.

One of the founding fathers of Winnipeg's punk rock scene, over time the focus of his musical creativity evolved.  With the arrival of his two beautiful children (Olivia and Billy Jr.) along came the inspiration for children's songs that educate, entertain and are just plain silly. The music of Billy Jackfish appeals to kids of all ages, from toddlers to tweeners.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Billy spent many years enjoying the prairie landscape and the beauty of the Canadian shield in northwestern Ontario's cottage country. Now living on beautiful Vancouver Island, you can usually find Billy Jackfish outside enjoying all the west coast has to offer.  When he isn't playing his guitar it hangs on the wall beside his family's kitchen table.
